Background

BACKGROUND:

Justin Hickman is a Board Certified Massotherapist in the State of Virginia with over 1000 accredited hours in training. He graduated from the Cayce Reilly School of Massotherapy in May 2005. In addition to his core training in Cayce/Reilly techniques and natural remedies he pursued extensive post graduate studies including Jin Shin Do® Acupressure, for which he is a candidate for licensure in 2006 as well as his Reiki Master and licensure in Dr. Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage (candidate 2006). Prior to his studies in Virginia Beach at the Cayce/Reilly School, Justin worked as a field medic and director of the Rangaloka Health Center in Bangalore, India in 2003-2004. While working in India Justin also studied some Ayurvedic medicine working closely with the National Ayurvedic College of Bangalore and participating in their bi-monthly free health camps dedicated to providing free health care, education and prevention to lower income communities and disenfranchised populations. Upon his return to the United States Justin received his Master's in Sustainable Development with a focus on public health systems, prevention and alternative medicines.

Today Justin is pursuing his passion in studying and providing alternative forms of health maintenance and prevention through the manual arts which have a long tradition in facilitating the body's natural and inherent self healing. Justin has his own succesful private practice in Ocean View, Norfolk just 2 blocks from the Chesapeake Bay and is continuing to pursue his career in the health field by beginning his studies in Traditional Osteopathic Medicine.
